Mar 03, 2015 HOw to update BIOS HP DC5800? I currently have linux installed on the DC5800 MT so how can I update the bios? I wanted to install a Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0Ghz CPU but kept getting a microcode. Hi Andikan, Have you recently attempted toupdate the BIOS on your PC and what is your PC's product number? What version of Windowswere you using when this first occurredand is this version the factory installed operating system? Error 1801 Microcode Update Error Hp 7700I have a HP Compaq dc5800 that originally came with XP Pro and now has Window 7 Pro. The part number is AK819AW #ABA. It has bios version 786F2 v01.04 dated 1/31/2008. I was looking on HP's site for a BIOS update for it and found nothing under the Windows 7 section. I did find bios version 1.59 Rev. A available under the Windows XP and Windows Vista sections. If I download the bios update from the Windows Vista Business64 bit section will it work on my pc? If not, how do I update the BIOS on this pc? My company has recently implemented a policy never to buy HP again due to this BIOS mess - it its all over the place, not just desktop machines. They did it with AMD servers and locking out AMD-V, they have also gone and locked out VT and VT-d and AHCI as you can see here. This is a willful dishonest nerfing that is going on here. Its a dispicable dishonest criminal practice. This customer has stopped tolerating it. I suggest everyone do the same until they bring honesty and integrity back into their operating guidelines. My machine is a Compaq dc 5800 Small form factor. 1801 Microcode Update Error Hp Compaq Dc5800Running windows 7. Was wondering what the best way to get four monitors to work on this machine would be. 4 Separate monitors 4 different programs on each one, what graphics card should i buyto get this done? I have a usb to vga thing that might work for one monitor so does that mean i need a small form factor graphics card that can run 2 or do i need one that will run 3. I have read that once you install a graphics card you cant enable the onboard graphics in bios. Microcode Update Error Hp Dc5800 MemoryI dont want to have this problem. Please help me. Here is the Manual: Manual You will need a low-profile pci-e x16 video card. Even if you buy one with 3 outputs such as a vga, a dvi and an HDMI generally you can only use 2. And yes, when you install an add-in pci-e video card you will lose the onboard graphics. In order to drive moire than 2 monitors you need a second video card, or a multiple display adapter cable. You have an available pci-e x1 slot and there is such a thing as a pci-e x1 video card like this: Some of these x1 cards actually have an optional quad display cable you can add. These are not for gaming but will drive additional monitors for things like having stock market website feeds or just more desktops available for work. Microcode Update Error Hp Dc5800 DriversHiall,I am trying to display 3 x monitors, two via my Matrox G550 PCI LP the 3rd via the onboard intergrated videoadapter. I can get two to work via the G550 but not the 3rd one. Or I can get one to work via the onboardvideo adapter, but then not the 2 via the G550 kind of a 'catch 22' I have been into the BIOS and enabled the Intergated Video Option, but when the unit bootsI get an error message saying 'At least 1 display adapter on the system has been disabled because its driver is not compatible with the drive for the VGA adapter'Its seems to be thatthe Matrox G550 is not compatible with the onboard video adapter!!! Has anyone experienced this problem and managed tofind a solution?
